"Motherhood" Review from British Infertility Counselling Association

I was thrilled recently by the review of Motherhood - Is It For Me? Your Step-by-Step Guide to Clarity in the spring edition of the British Infertility Counselling Association's journal. It was fascinating to get the viewpoint of someone who is also in the counseling profession. I really loved this statement:

"I have found myself using elements of the book in counselling sessions with clients. I have quoted 'it's OK not to know' more than once since reading the book and it has been a helpful way into the place of uncertainty which clients can find so difficult to talk about."

Other lovely excerpts from the review include:

"In the introduction to this book it states that this is a place where you won't be judged on your feelings about motherhood. It is true at no point during the book did I feel I was being led one way or the other. There is no sense of a right or wrong decision or pressure about what you should want."

"One of the merits of this book is the theme of getting to your own feelings. It's a very welcome theme in an area so full of judgments about what you should and shouldn't be feeling. It can be easy to become disconnected from your body and your emotions in the whirl of treatment or making these big decisions."
